Dr Chloe Groves BVSc

Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Friday

We are very fortunate to have Chloe join our growing team in 2019! Chloe will be adding to the diversity of our EAMC team by offering dedicated behaviour consults.

Chloe loves working together with clients to make their pets as happy and healthy as they can possibly be!  She has been immersed in the veterinary world since a school girl working in her local vet clinic after school and on weekends. Years later, she eagerly accepted a scholarship position to study Veterinary Science at Sydney University. Chloe graduated with flying colours, spending her final year working in rural practices in Gippsland, Tasmania and central NSW. In between semesters, Chloe always sought out more adventures, including a five week placement working with elephants and street dogs in Northern Thailand, two weeks trapping Tassie devils to collect samples for facial tumour research, and a regular volunteering position in the Behavioural Studies Unit at Taronga Zoo.

Chloe then spent the next few years after graduation working in clinics across Melbourne and then Albury before settling here in Newcastle to be close to family.  Chloe considers herself a genuine all-rounder, with interests in all areas of general practice – including medicine, surgery, dentistry, behaviour, emergency and critical care, dermatology, avian and exotic medicine (particularly backyard chickens), ophthalmology and physiotherapy/rehabilitation. She is passionate about continuing education and has attended conferences and workshops covering a number of topics, most notably in behaviour and dentistry.

Chloe likes to keep active outside of work, either going for a run, a cycle or throw of the frisbee. In her down time, she loves spending time with her goofy rescued greyhound named Patrick and curling up on the couch with a good book and a glass of wine.
